Here we go!

It is that time again! Summer is coming to an end, the kids are heading back to school, and I am making the last of my preparations to put on a strong campaign run for the November election. This summer has been so busy and yet so exciting as I have been given so many opportunities to meet with Kendall County residents and listen to their concerns and discuss local issues and politics. I met with folks at the Prairie Fest in Oswego, the 4th of July parade in Yorkville, Montgomery Fest, Hometown Days in Yorkville, and the Labor Day Parade in Lisbon. I continue to meet with the Kendall County Republican Support Committee, the Kendall County Central Committee, and the Kendall County Republican Women very often and I am very proud to receive the encouragement and support from each group!

I recently held a Campaign Kick-off Fund-raiser at Ralph's place in Bristol. We had a great turn-out, we all had a very good time and I was able to collect several donations for the Kendall County Food Pantry! Pictured above is Kendall County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Becky Morganegg, myself, and Kendall County Treasurer, Jill Ferko.

I am looking forward to seeing you all very soon!
Sincerely,

Debbie

Almost there!

Wow - what a week. This week I received the endorsements of the Kendall County Record group of newpapers as well as former Speaker of the House & Kendall County resident Dennis Hastert. I am very proud and very honored to have received each endorsement. I continue to work very hard. I just have a few days left to get my message out. I will be out in Kendall County as much as possible between now and Super Tuesday.

Happy Groundhog day & have a great Superbowl Sunday

Kendall Treasurer Jill Ferko Endorses Debbie Gillette

Hello!

Things are going great! I continue to walk door to door (even in the cold!) speaking with the great people of Kendall County. Yard signs are very difficult to put up now, as you might imagine. If you have not received yours yet....I haven't forgotten! I will get them all out very soon. Today I would like to share with you the letter of endorsement I received recently from Kendall County Treasurer: Jill Ferko. I am very very proud to have been endorsed by Jill.

I‘ve had several opportunities to meet with Debbie Gillette, a candidate for County Clerk & Recorder. I am impressed that she reached out to me and took initiative to learn more about how the roles of County Treasurer and County Clerk & Recorder are interconnected. These two positions work closely together on many aspects of county government, and rely on one another throughout the property tax cycle. Due, in part, to her excellent communication and organizational skills, I feel strongly that Debbie is the one candidate I can depend on to assure that all of the Clerk’s responsibilities are carried out properly and in a judicious manner.

Debbie’s strengths include a strong accounting background, which is essential for this role. She also has energy and a willingness to manage all aspects of the Clerk & Recorder Offices. I found her most notable qualities to be a genuine concern for the people of Kendall County and her desire to serve our community. She understands the dedication it takes to be an elected official and is ready to make that commitment.

There is no doubt in my mind that Debbie is the most qualified candidate for this office. Please join me on February 5th in voting for Debbie Gillette, Kendall County Clerk & Recorder.

Momentum!

Good afternoon. It has been awhile since I've been able to write. I hope that this note will catch you up. The campaign is going great! As you may have noticed, we have been very busy getting all of the signs out. The momentum has really picked up. I am getting calls daily by folks requesting yard signs and offering well wishes. I am preparing for the two Candidates nights that are coming up very quickly, and I will be recording my radio spot for local station WSPY. So keep an "ear" out for that!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Letter of endorsement

Hello,

I wanted to share this letter that I received recently from Paul Anderson. Paul has served Kendall County as its Clerk & Recorder for the past 17 years. Paul was a great Clerk/Recorder and I am extremely proud to have his endorsement.

To the voters of Kendall County:

Having served Kendall County for more than 20 years, first as Oswego Village Trustee, then as a Kendall County Board member and most recently as your County Clerk/Recorder for the past 17 years. Kendall County has been, and will continue to be very important to me. I want to see the County served in a courteous and unbiased manner. Therefore, I am endorsing Debbie Gillette as the best qualified candidate.

The County Clerk’s office is one of the most diversified offices in the County office Complex. The office consists of five separate and distinct functions. Recorder of Deeds, Tax Extension, County Election Authority-in charge of all elections, Voter Registration and Accounts Payable. Plus numerous and varied other duties.

I sincerely feel that Debbie Gillette can provide the citizens of the county the knowledge, dedication, and courtesy they are entitled to in the County Clerks Office. Her background in accounting and her computer skills will be very valuable to the Tax Extension, Accounts Payable, and Recording Departments.

Don’t forget to go to the polls on February 5, 2008 and cast your vote for Debbie Gillette as County Clerk/Recorder. It will be a vote for continued good government.

Very truly yours,

Paul Anderson
